StorieD turns any place into a fully narrated self-guided trail people follow on their own phones. A history walk, a beer trail, a ghost walk, a kids' trail, whatever suits your patch. You build it in an afternoon. Visitors scan a QR code and go. No app, no developer, no contract.
Build your tour free, no card needed. Publish it, and your first month is on us.
Fifteen seconds of the real narration from our live Hereford trail. No app, no download. This is exactly what a visitor gets by scanning a QR code in the street.
They have a quick look round, don't find anything that holds them, and move on. A guided trail gives them a reason to stay: a route that turns a passing visit into a proper afternoon.
Scripting, voice artists, studio time, a developer to build the app. Most places price it up once and quietly shelve it. StorieD is a real trail, narration, photos and all, built in an afternoon for a fraction of the old cost.
Whether you answer to a committee, a landlord, or just yourself, you want something you can point to. StorieD counts every scan and every completion, so you have numbers, not good intentions.
We've been meaning to do something like this for years.
What people tell us first
You tell StorieD your place and what kind of trail you want. It surfaces local points of interest, drafts the narration, finds photos, and writes three visitor facts for each stop.
You review every word, reorder the route, swap anything that isn't right, and walk the full trail on your own phone before it goes live. Everything stays editable by you at any time. When something changes, you update it yourself in minutes. No developer, no waiting, no extra cost.
When you're ready, you publish. Visitors scan a QR code and the trail opens in their browser. No account, no download, no friction.
Name the place, pick the area and the theme. StorieD surfaces local points of interest. You tick the ones that belong.
Edit anything you want to change, reorder the route, then walk the whole trail on your own phone. Free, before you commit.
Go live in one click. Print the QR code on a poster, leaflet or window. Visitors find it and start walking.
A 90-minute trail turns a 20-minute visit into a proper afternoon. Longer stays, more spend nearby, footfall you can point to.
Local businesses can pay to sponsor a stop on your trail. You keep 80% of what they pay. Something to show whoever you answer to.
The trail runs without staff. Visitors find it, scan it, and walk it whenever they arrive, any day, any hour.
You choose the voice, edit the script, set the route. Nothing goes live that you haven't walked yourself.
You're after a bespoke app build with custom features. We do one thing really well, and we do it for the price on the page.
You need a signed three-year contract before you can move. StorieD is monthly, cancel anytime, which is a feature for some buyers and a problem for others.
You don't have anyone willing to spend an afternoon building the trail. It's self-serve. Someone has to drive it.
Your place already has a trail that's working well. We built this for the places that have never had one.
Your first month is free on every plan. Build it, walk it, show it off.
Real people on hand to help, on every plan. No contract, cancel anytime.
Cancel anytime and your tour unpublishes, with your build kept. Prefer we build it for you? Add concierge setup.
You have a full month to build the trail, walk it live on your phone, and show it to anyone you want. If you decide it isn't right for your place, you close the tab and owe us nothing. The risk sits with us until you're sure.
Walk one on your phone in ten seconds. No account, no app, no download. This is exactly what your visitors would get.
Our home town, and the first full StorieD trail. The one we walk ourselves.
Walk HerefordA city trail built the same way, on the ground in London. Proof the format travels.
Walk HammersmithAnother live StorieD trail, this one in London. Walk it before you build your own.
Walk The Arc
We're Mark and Louise. We've been building tools and businesses together for over ten years under The SetUp Crew, and StorieD is one of those things.
We built the first trails for our own home town of Hereford and for Hammersmith, partly because we wanted to walk them ourselves, and partly because cautious buyers reasonably want to see the thing working before they commit.
Louise runs marketing and project management. Mark runs the build. We tell you what it costs, what it does, and what it doesn't do yet. If you want a trail for your place, we'll help you put one live.
Build the whole thing in an afternoon. Walk it yourself. Publish when you're ready.
